Great team! Great company! O-H…

I-O!

If you’re a Buckeye fan, you should immediately click “like” below on this blog post! Last week, my friend and fellow Cool Kid Club member, Ellie, tweeted that Homage.com was having a Buckeye Nut House prize pack giveaway.  Let me say up front, if you like sports…if you love sports, old school style, check these guys out…NOW! Seriously, that’s why I put links in these posts, folks! You can go, but you have to promise come back, fair enough?

Moving on, I did my due diligence, threw down a tweet, started following Homage on Twitter (remember: link=action item), and I was entered in the sweepstakes. Long story short, I won! Short story made a bit longer…so did Ellie! How cool is that?

A special thanks to Ellie for pointing this company out to me. Not just because I won some Buckeye swag from them, but because at first glance, I’m very impressed with this company. But before I go there, what did I get? Let’s have a look see, shall we?

If you can’t quite tell what everything is from the picture, I’ll show you below.

Ohio State Zubaz pants

Buckeye Nut House t-shirt

We're nuts! mesh cap

We're Nuts! Rahrag

We're Nuts! and Homage stickers

So, there’s the free stuff. All really cool and I was seriously pumped to get it.

So, why am I so impressed with Homage? Here’s the deal: these guys just do it right. They’ve obviously thought through their branding and image. Everything about this company yells “old school”. Actually, I believe “vintage” is the correct term, but I much rather prefer old school. Even the tape that sealed the package yelled old school. Check out the tag on the t-shirt to the right. See, cool!

Plus, I got the stuff really fast. I just told them my sizes yesterday and my package was here this morning. Kudos to you gentlemen! In addition to the fast service, they were very easy to interact with and very friendly. That builds relationships. That builds customers for life.

Plus, I’m going out on a limb here a bit, but I’m guessing that the company reflects the personality of the owners. Look what else was in the package? A pack of Saved by the Bell: The College Years trading cards. Who else grew up watching Saved by the Bell on Saturday mornings? Who else still stops dead in their tracks if they run across it on TBS? C’mon, you know who you are.

Needless to say, I can now add Homage to the list of companies that I will talk about in my management and marketing classes as a company who is doing things the right way. Congrats, Homage, you now have a fan for life.
